Can you believe it?!?! October is almost here! Bucknell is about to get really pretty! And you know what that means...BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH is right around the corner!!! What better way to raise awareness and education for breast cancer than through Fashion?!  Check what I found! It's definitely for a good cause too! I mean, a girl can never have too much pink!

The True Bucknell Colors

It has been awhile since we've posted, but that doesn't mean that fashion and the world that inspires us hasn't been on our minds. For the past few weeks since we've been at school, a lot of what I see back at the Buck has given pretty good occasion for the first post of the semester.
As a senior, I have come to take for granted returning back to Bucknell in the Fall. However, as it is my last year here and I have begun to think about all the turns my life will take in the near future, my eyes have taken on some new insight of this place I have grown to know and love.

In my geology lab the other day (sadly trying to acquire my lab science requirement), my lab partner pointed out to me the beautiful combination of shale colors in our rock kit. A switch in my head turned and I couldn't stop looking at these beautiful rocks. And, as I left lab and walked back to my gateway, I noticed how these shale colors mirrored the colors of Fall at Bucknell. These colors, almost more than Blue and Orange, seem to be the true Bucknell colors. The mix of red, yellow, and green leaves, the return of light jackets, and the classic Bucknell brick inspire me. This simple, yet meaningful observation brought me back to why I came here in the first place: to connect the classroom of Bucknell and colors, textures, and patterns of the landscape into my own worldview.
