Artist, anthropologist......Corley's style expresses confidence in her use of color, patterns and textures. On her, a scarf is no longer a mere accessory, but an essential element of her outfit. CB also has a sensational video on view at the Samek Gallery, did I say sensational? Absolutely.
I must confess that this photo was actually staged, we played dress up this weekend after the show. Miss Sara wore this exact outfit in February, I love the elephants, they were marching in her mother's closet since the 70s!
After yesterday's show, I have been craving design. I can't wait to start on my next project... which will probably be 10 orders of the dress for all of my friends... but until then I have found my design fix on this website.
The Duck Tape brand gives away ten scholarships for high school students who design (and wear!) the best prom outfits. The catch: the outfits must be made entirely of duct tape. Since Duck has branched out from their original silver color, fashionistas (and fashionistos) have adopted the tape as just another fabric. Love it.
Recently I have seen really cute military inspired themes in fashion. Like in Rihanna's Hard Video, she wears the COOLEST outfits and I think it really speaks to empowering women, which she is a big spokesperson for! I found some examples of cute military chic I hope you like, What do you think?
